We thought we had good news to give you following the BOS Meeting of November 5th, where our Selectmen voiced their annoyance and frustration with a sloppy, incomplete, and dishonest application, and the fact that the applicants of Piper Lane LLC chose not to attend or not to answer the pointed questions at the hearing (Steve Paquette at least was in attendance). Furthermore, the Selectmen voted unanimously to strongly and affirmatively request that MA Housing deny the application for a PEL (Project Eligibility Letter), and listed several concerns that they wanted included in the letter to be sent.
The subsequent letter written by the BOS to MassHousing failed to reflect the strong opposition they expressed at the meeting. We will be attending the November 19th BOS meeting to inform them that, a) we noticed, and b) we are holding them accountable to their on-the-record comments. Join us at Town Hall, 7:00 PM. You can read the letter from the BOS to MA Housing here - doc.acton-ma.gov/dsweb/Get/Document-65812/ If you are not able to attend the meeting tomorrow night, please consider sending an email to [email protected] to express your disappointment.
