David Honn, representing the South Acton Neighborhood Association (SANA) spoke during the Citizen Concerns portion of the November 19th BOS Meeting, expressing citizens' disappointment in the accommodating tone of the BOS letter sent to MA Housing contrasted with the strong opposition expressed by the Board during the November 5th meeting which included the Piper Lane application hearing. SANA requested that the BOS follow up with a more forceful response, including a face to face meeting with MA Housing officials. SANA members compiled an information packet for MA Housing which included hard copies of all the letters from citizens and town committees/boards, results of our traffic study (paid for by citizens), the letter from the 40B attorney engaged by citizens, and the architectural/3D renderings (again, financed by citizens). That packet was delivered Wednesday, November 21st, and MA Housing has acknowledged receipt. BOS also received a copy of this info packet. In addition, on the same day, BOS Chair Katie Green and Acton Town Manager, John Mangiaratti met with MA Housing officials. A presentation of the meeting results will be presented at the BOS Meeting on Monday, December 10th, 7:00 PM at Town Hall. Please attend!
